The brief

Northwind's existing onboarding was a static, six-step funnel. Drop-off after step two was high, and the team had no instrumentation to explain why.

What we designed

We replaced the funnel with an event-driven system:

  • A behavioural model that scores intent on every interaction.
  • An adaptive step engine that reorders, skips, or expands steps based on the score.
  • A decision layer that routes high-intent users straight to value.

The outcome

Within eight weeks of launch, qualified activation lifted +42% and time-to-first-value dropped from 6 days to under 24 hours.
